DY EI-FHF/LN-NOB - status

.

Matt Cawby tok den paa Everett under en touch-and-go ...

.

.

Richard - I do NOT agree with your comments about "secret" info from DY. The websiet referred to by MOW is public, the photos were taken in public. If we as a group of enthusiasts were not to do our fair share of digging (thanks to GFL and others who check the mail-journal of Luftfartstilsynet, and share that info with other "nerds" where would we be? In some respects, fourum members do the work of investigative reporters, finding public information hidden here and there - and doing a great job of it. Mrs Ellingsen would never put the MSN of future aircraft in a press-release, as mentioned just because noboby (other then nreds like us) care.

I appreciate your postings, Richard - but not your constand whining about moderators or other forum members. The last few post I've seen from you, have all included the latter, and it does not become you, my friend.

Re: LN-NOB er paa sin jomfrutur

You totally missed the boat CK, absolutely.

The info that MOW is referring to is public. If you would have followed a bit the history of Seattle deliveries and their blog, you would have noticed that they do also not post any line-Numbers nor MSN than the next 100 off the line. The fact is that some customers, namely big Leasing companies are not happy to see those things revealed.

What is valued a company inside information, depends on who'm you ask. But Norwegian has e.g. not leaked out further information via L-T. Postjournal about their future used 737s. They could have done, but they kept it secret.

Last word to what you call Whining about a Morderator.
If your attitude is that this forum stands for pathetic DY Bashing like "oh another used tampon" then it is absolutely clear to me that this is no longer an objective forum. You can't say you want objective information on the one hand and does not stop such stupid postings on the other hand.

So if your choice is that P.A.Viking shall continue with such stupid DY Bashing, and nothing else it was, then I request my account to be terminated!

Re: LN-NOB er paa sin jomfrutur

Richard - get off your horse! This forum is away with DY-bashing, as well as SAS-bashing and Ryanair-bashing..... But also - believe me - by strong positive feelings about a number of companies, as well as the industry as a whole. I personally prefer SAS, but other prefer differently - also in amongst the moderators, and that is beside the point. I have great respect for Norwegian Air Shuttle, what they have acieved in five years and the utmost respect and admiration for the people who work there. But I still think their aircraft look like a circumcized penis! I love the 737-600, but I can agree that it does resemble a pig...

It IS possible to both discuss the airline industry, and disagree on certain points, and be "professional" - but also to do it with slight humour. As for my "neighbour" P.A. Viking - I assume he sometimes goes a bit over the top just for the fun of it. You can like it or not.

This forum consists of 1300-odd users, and it never has been objective. People have differing opinions, and it will remain such untill the end of time/aviation/this forum (feel free to pick).

I can assign it a random password, and then you can use the password reset function at some point next week when you get over yourself?

Totally. On this forum all airlines get their fair share of bashing.

Comment that should go via PM IMO..

In normal circumstances, very much so. Seeing how BU662 has had a few of these "I'll-leave-now-and-very-publically" moments, and after how he managed to demand his entire past erased from the forum, only to show up a few weeks later and seemingly on the verge of repeating this now, I figured it would serve better to wish him the best of luck and point out he'll be back next week.

Or we could actully take his word for it and do what he bids. Either way works.

Re: LN-NOB er paa sin jomfrutur

BU662, I've enjoyed your comments, and actually been rather amazed at your Norwegian language skills over these last few years. It's rather interesting to see someone who speaks a totally different and rather large language actually bother to sit down and learn a miniscule language such as Norwegian. Hope you stay on at Scanair.no

I'm with P.A. Viking, I don't like the Norwegian livery, and the "Used tampon" has been used as a slang term for the DY livery. Not very flattering, but there you go. I'm sure it's not just us Norwegians who refer to it that way.

On another note, since you read and write good Norwegian, do you prefer to be answered in Norwegian or English when you resort to English on the forum?
