As i joined at OSL, I missed the US events, but my-oh-my – there was plenty left to enjoy.
Got up early and had breakfast at Radisson Blu, where I spent the night after arriving from my corporate HQ at Mosjøen the night before. Snow was falling and it was obvious that the deicing folks would be kept busy this November morning,

After getting my boardingpass and meeting some of the other participants, we proceeded to the gate, from where we were bussed over to the SAS Hangar where the first event would take place.

From the hangar, we could see D-ABON touch down on the snowy runwa.y

SAS put a great effort into making this a great event, with folk dance, food&drink, exhibitions and several interesting speakers. SAS Flight Attendent Kristin also impressed with her singing – especially the second song performed on the wing of a Boeing 737-705. She seemed very comfortable on that stage.

One of our excellent hosts wanted a good angle for some shots.

The same 737 was converted to MEDEVAC configuration to demonstrate how SAS assists to bring wounded citizens out of disaster areas or warzones. It was NOT the new Business Class.

Time to board.

Undersigned about to climb on board.

El Condor Pasa. This thing is LONG. I have a long standing relationship to the 757-300 through my days with ATA. I love this plane!

No, it’s not Transformers. Time for deicing.

Ah – 18 year old Talisker ...

09.jpg

Cabin service was smooth – if not elegant. At lest they didn’t have to collect cash!

The rear cabin.

Airbus allowed no cameras on site, so except from stating the obvious, that it was a very interesting walk through the A380 productiion area, all I can show is this peace of paper.

From the Tower Lounge in FRA. Who’s that in the flowered shirt?

Fellowship and VoiceCom.

Someone. Just Someone (or Someone83).

Fast Forward to Friday morning. The view from my room at the Sheraton.

Friday kicked off with a tour of LH’s maintenance facilities. The first plane we saw was the retro-A321. Most excellent!

Håkon was my copilot.

The A340-600 is a loooong beast ... Is that the wall back there?

Lufthansa hosted lunch in a marketplace setting with several interesting product stands. Their CEO, Mr. Wolfgang Meyrhuber, held a little speech and took a few questions before he was whisked away.

Tommy777 nicely dressed up for the occation.

After lunch I took the FRAport ramp tour. A nice busride around the airfield.

Playing with a Star Alliance 787 that I managed to score when they took their stand down.

24.jpg

Then it was off to Seeheim, where we had dinner and a few of these.

25.jpg

Unfortunatly I couldn’t fit this inside my travelpro ....

Finally - thanks Tommy .. Oliver .. Reb .. We all had a blast and taken the tight schedule and the European fall weather into consideraton, we surely had the gods on our side too.

THANK YOU and see you again next time!!!

Meget bra rapport Andreas. Men synes du kunne ha redigert bort den magen helt til høyre på siste bilde... :8: ;)

Dette blir et MUST neste år. Tommy, når kommer den avsløringen?

Det står vel en og annen på et varmt, og tørrt, sted ikke langt fra et nytt medlem her på forumet ;)

Festlig!

Kunne godt ha vært litt flere bilder kanskje? Og så på utenlandsk da gitt! Virker som du behersker det ganske godt! ;)

Takk for det!
