The last Everett built 787, line 1095 for ANA, was moved out of the factory at 10 PM tonight. JAL line 1057 is in the factory for rework.

Da Boeing startet å levere 787 nå igjen i slutten av mars, var det et opphold på cirka 5 måneder, mens Boeing fikset og rettet på ymse produksjonfeil- og problemer
 
Etter et nylig 5 måneder stopp i levering av 787, er det nå nok en gang forsinkelser i leveringeneda FAA ikke er helt fornøyd med Boeings fix av de forrige problemene

Boeing Co. has halted deliveries of its 787 Dreamliners, adding fresh delays for customers following a recent five-month suspension in handing over the aircraft due to production problems, people familiar with the matter said.

Federal air-safety regulators have requested more information about Boeing’s proposed solution to address the previously identified quality lapses, these people said.
 
Interessant oppsummering. Tiden flyr, og 787 har allerede vært i drift ganske lenge. Vi hører lite om problemer, selv om flytypen er den som har hatt størst andel av totalflåten i drift de siste to år.

Air New Zealands Boeing 787-9 Dreamlinere står sædvanligvis skarpt. Flyene er til at genkende, når de lander eller letter udsmykket med livery i kontrastfarverne sort og hvid. I disse dage er alt dog ikke, som det plejer. Malingen på nogle af flyenes vinger er nemlig begyndt at skalle af.
 
Boeing tok nylig et tap på 787 programmet på $5,5 mrd. Både for å dekke økte produksjonskostnader for å bygge om eksisterende fly, men også en avsetning for å dekke kompensasjoner til flyselskapene pga leveringsforsinkelsene
 
Nå har FAA bestemt at de ikke vi la Boeing godkjenne maskinene før de blir levert. De skal inspiseres av FAA.

The Federal Aviation Administration informed Boeing Tuesday that when it finally approves resumption of deliveries of the 787 Dreamliner, the agency will perform final inspections on each newly built jet before issuing an airworthiness certificate that approves the plane to carry passengers.

That power to issue individual airworthiness certificates is routinely delegated to the manufacturer. But the quality problems afflicting the 787 manufacturing process have prompted the decision to withhold that authority from Boeing.

U.S. air-safety regulators have told Boeing the documentation it submitted to win approval to resume 787 deliveries to airlines after a year is incomplete, two people familiar with the matter said.
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration identified a number of omissions in Boeing’s documentation, submitted in late April, and has sent portions of it back to the planemaker, one of the people said.
 
Ifølge Bloomberg ble det stopp sent i 2020, så snart 2 år. FAA må deretter godkjenne reparasjonen som Boeing utfører. American Airlines forventer å få levert første Dreamliner tidlig i august.
