BU662, if we still had the old feedback system, you would have gotten some of the negative kind from me for your post. Making accusations without checking facts is never a good idea. Surely you knew that there would be people on this board that knew about these things?
If you want to give me negative feedback for that, well, I won't stop you.
However, I did check back, and I have the source and I clearly did point out to until which time it was common practise, according to this source. Of course, that is some sort of pepper, but I can sleep safe because I can trust in that source. Therefore, this is not an accusation, it is stating of a fact!
Of course, it is not popular to say that Airlines do trick the times. SAS is not the only one, I know of more. Other members underlined that these things happen. I was not aware that this was forbidden to post.
I did raise the question whether one can trust blind in data that are provided. And I asked which data (here times) are counted.
Of course, we can all take us at the hand and say "hurray". But if we do not bear in mind that everyone that publishes such data has a certain interest and also raise the question "are these data accurate to display punctuality???" then we can lock this bord. I am not in here for just screaming "hurray". So far, no one has said which times are used to calculate this wonderful statistic.
So I would be very grateful if somebody could us provide with the knowledge which time was used to calculate that statistic!
If it is the data collected via Brake release, be careful, they could be cheated.
Come on, the gjør jo hele greia unyttig. Hvem betaler for varene osv ...
Data sources include OAG, the FAA, feeds that airlines and airports give us directly, and Global Distribution Systems (like Amadeus, Sabre, etc). Of those sources the ones we actually use will be flight and geography dependent.
