Virgin Atlantic has introduced double suites for passengers traveling in its Upper Class Suite. It has fitted four pairs of double suites onto two of its 747-400s, giving passengers traveling together 2 sq. m. of space. The double suites are located in the center of Zone B on the lower deck of the aircraft and are arranged in a herringbone configuration. They can remain separate until the passengers wish to sleep, at which time cabin crew can unclip the middle partition. Alternatively, the partition can be removed at the beginning of the flight.
Separately, Virgin Atlantic announced that it has teamed up with Fiona Harrold Consultancy to offer its Upper Class passengers a complimentary 30-min. Life Coaching session with an experienced life coach while they wait for their flights in its Heathrow Clubhouse during Oct.
