IndiGo landet et overskudd $983 millioner i året som endte 31 mars 2024, mot et lite minus resultat året før.

  • Capacity increased by 8% to 139.3 billion
  • Passengers increased by 7% to 106.7 million
  • Decreased by 0% to INR 5.08 and load factor improved by 3.8 pts to 85.9%
  • Revenue from Operations increased by 6% to INR 689,043 million
  • Reduction in fuel CASK by 0% to INR 1.72
  • CASKex fuel decreased by 6% to INR 2.66
  • EBITDA of INR 175,447 million (25.5% EBITDAR margin), compared to EBITDAR of INR 73,116 million (13.4% EBITDAR margin)
  • Excluding foreign exchange loss, profit amounted to INR 88,899 million compared to profit of INR 26,540 million
  • Net profit of INR 81,725 million, compared to net loss of INR 3,058 million

Og nå beveger de seg mer og mer bort fra den tradisjonelle LCC modellen, og skal i løpet av året tilby business class på utvalgte ruter.

IndiGo Airlines (6E, Delhi International) will debut a business-class cabin on selected aircraft and routes by the end of the year in a significant shift away from its low-cost roots. CEO Pieter Elbers confirmed the change during a May 23 earnings call, saying that rising demand for premium travel and a need to cater to the corporate market were behind the decision.

IndoGo has selected the RECARO R5 premium seat as part of the new Stretch product. This seat, recognizable by its privacy headrests and wide pitch, is the same as the one chosen by Alaska Airlines (AS) for its new premium cabin retrofit programs on the Boeing 737.

Spørs om Turkish Airlines sin 777-300-ops for IndiGo begynner å gå mot slutten.
Fra midten av november setter IndiGo inn 32Q isteden for 77W på BOM/DEL-IST,
en nedgradering som fører til 309 seter mindre til salgs på nevnte ruter.
Indian low-cost carrier IndiGo in Northern winter 2024/25 season is adjusting service to Istanbul, as the airline switches from 531-seater 777-300ER to Airbus A321neo aircraft, which the airline sells 222 seats per flight. From India, the aircraft changes will commence on 15NOV24.

Delhi – Istanbul eff 15NOV24 A321neo replaces 777-300ER, 1 daily

The airline will also add Airbus A321neo aircraft on Kolkata – Hanoi route from 15OCT24, Delhi – Abu Dhabi from 27OCT24. The A321neo aircraft replaces the current A320neo aircraft.

Tilbake til 777-300ER fra 1. desember på Mumbai/Dehli-Istanbul.
Indian low-cost carrier IndiGo this past weekend resumed Boeing 777-300ER service to Istanbul. The leased aircraft from Turkish Airlines operates following schedule from 01DEC24, replacing A320neo.

Vedkommende som har ansvar to codeshare og interline hos IndiGo har tydeligvis travle dager om dagen. Codeshareavtale med Garuda på plass:

IndiGo and Garuda Indonesia have announced a codeshare partnership, granting IndiGo access to 17 Indonesian destinations and Garuda access to seven Indian cities, with the launch set for July 2025.

-En tredje 787-9 Dreamliner i Oktober som innebär att de planerar att starta upp BOM-CPH 3 x veckan.
-En fjärde mitten Oktober (LHR)
-En femte i November som innebär att de planerar att starta upp DEL-CPH 3 x veckan.

Otroligt spännande. :) Hoppas att det är sant. Och så väntar vi bara på att SAS/IndiGo lanserar något samarbete snart ;)
