On 3 January 2011 some changes will be made to Miles & More flight awards - and some will be better. Please be aware of the following changes when you book your next flight award:
* You need fewer award miles if you are only flying one-way: the mileage surcharge for one-way flight awards will be discontinued. In the future, you will therefore only need to redeem 50% of the miles of a regular flight award for your one-way ticket instead of 75% as previously.
* Enjoy travelling to your next meeting or shopping trip for less: the mileage surcharge for flight awards with a same-day return flight will be discontinued - which means that in the future you will save 10,000 award miles, the previous surcharge for same-day flight awards.
* Redeem miles for flights: the number of miles that you need for intercontinental flight awards in Economy Class and all continental and European domestic flights remains unchanged. Only First and Business Class intercontinental flight awards in First and Business Class will require increased mileage levels from 2011. You can find out how many award miles you will need for your chosen flight award from the flight award table.
* Book flight awards online: in the future, the same number of award miles will apply if you book your Economy Class flight awards online as currently is applicable when booking a flight award with the Service Team. The previous discount for online bookings therefore no longer applies. You will continue to find great-value online deals in our monthly mileage bargains.
These changes will apply to all flight awards booked as of 3 January 2011. For award flights booked at an earlier date which do not take place until after 3 January 2011, the previous terms and conditions will apply.
