According to Ukrainian and Polish media:
On the 18th December W!ZZ Air flight 902 Luton-Kyiv, with heavy delay, after several hours of passengers stranded in front of the gate, was ready to pushback when the crew told passengers to disembark, due to immediate flight cancellation caused by bad weather conditions. Passengers refused to disembark as they claim to have good reasons to suspect that the weather at Luton was OK.
Crew called for the police, who entered with guns and watchdogs and took everybody out with force. A moments later passengers travelling to Poznan boarded the plane and the plane took off without any problems.
Ukrainian media were notified. Now Ukrainian Foreign Ministry officially promised to peruse the whole case, requested W!ZZair for explanations, said the way of treating pax by W!ZZ is atrocious, unjustified and against human rights, and declared threat of retorsions and reprisals, including revokal of permissions and operational certificates granted to all W!ZZ Air group carriers (the Luton-rotation is operated by WZZ Hungary / Katowice crew).
First act of retorsion already took place, as the "Ukrtatnafta" petrol concern refused to provide fuel for W!ZZ Air at Ukrainian airports.
