SAS Group's May 2013 traffic figures

• SAS Group’s capacity (ASK) was up by 4.7% and the
Group’s traffic (RPK) increased by 1.5%.
• The SAS Group’s load factor decreased by 2.3 p.u. to
73.0%.
• SAS Group carried 2.6 million passengers in May, down
2.9%.

Group market trends, RASK and yield development
The traffic continued to develop as expected, but number of
passengers was negatively affected by the cabin crew strike in
Widerøe in May.

Currency adjusted yield (Scandinavian Airlines) in April 2013
was up 10.3% versus previous year and RASK was up 0.6%.
In May 2013 the change in yield and RASK vs. last year is
expected to be negative.

Overall, the market develops according to SAS expectations.
Despite that yield has been somewhat more stable in recent
months, the over capacity on certain routes adds uncertainty
and the SAS Group continues to expect a negative trend for
the RASK for the full year 2012/13. Throughout the summer,
SAS will commence flights on 32 new routes and in total plans
to open 50 new routes during calendar year 2013. The
capacity increase for the fiscal year 2012/13 is expected to be
approximately 5-6%.

SAS Group product and news update
• On 9 June, SAS implemented its new commercial offering –
SAS Plus and SAS Go - on all SAS routes within
Scandinavia and Europe, including domestic flights.
• Eurobonus has been re-introduced on Norwegian domestic
routes.
• SAS will increase number of frequencies between
Stockholm-Vilnius up to 12 return trips per week.
• SAS app which can be used to book trips to all SAS
destinations has been ranked as the no 1 free app in
Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
Scandinavian Airlines traffic development
• Number of passengers decreased by 1.6% to 2.4 million.
• Traffic increased by 2% and capacity was up 5.2%.
• The load factor was 73.6%, down 2.3 p.u.

Traffic increased slightly in May, generally as longer routes
grew stronger as a result of new routes. Traffic on
intercontinental routes increased 3.7% and grew strongly on
the USA due to a new route.

The European/Intrascandinavian traffic increased 3.6% with
strongest growth to/from the Swedish market. The load factor
was, however, down as the capacity on new more leisure
focused routes are more seasonal. On domestic routes, traffic
was down 5.1%, in line with the capacity reduction. The
reduction was primarily driven by capacity reductions on
Finnish domestic routes.

Widerøe traffic development[/B
]Widerøe carried 216,000 passengers in May, down 14.8% vs.
last year and traffic was down 14.2%. The weak development
is explained by the cabin crew strike during four days, which
grounded the entire fleet. The total load factor was down 4.2
p.u. to 56.0%.
