USA Nytt amerikansk lavprisselskap - Avelo Airlines

The agenda documents show that a carrier is interested in a total of nine flights per week between the following destinations: New Haven, Connecticut; Wilmington, Delaware; and Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina.

En drøss nye ruter ut fra Wilmington

By the end of June, the airline will serve 14 cities from ILG, including seven in Florida. Between June 22 and June 28, the airline will launch service to nine cities from Wilmington. The routes will be served 2X-weekly with the exception of Myrtle Beach (MYR), South Carolina, which will be served 3X-weekly.

In addition to MYR, the new destinations include: Nashville (BNA); Daytona Beach (DAB) and Melbourne (MLB) in Florida; Charleston (CHS) and Greenville/Spartanburg (GSB) in South Carolina; Raleigh/Durham (RDU) and the Wilmington (ILM) in North Carolina; and Savannah (SAV), Georgia.

Nye ruter til Salem, OR, som dermed får sine første ruter siden 2008

NEW: @AveloAir
is launching flights to Salem, Oregon (SLE):

- SLE to Burbank (BUR)
- SLE to Las Vegas (LAS)

Ser ut som ganske subsidierte ruter

Incentives of course play a key role in securing this new service. SLE received an $850,000 SCASD grant last year and there’s $350,000+ in local funding + waived fees at the airport.

On May 1, Avelo will open a new crew base at Charles M. Schultz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa, California, the Houston-based ultra-low-cost carrier announced Wednesday.

Other remaining Avelo crew bases include Burbank, Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) in North Carolina, Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN) in Connecticut, Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Wilmington Airport (ILG) in Delaware.

SANTA ROSA, Calif. - A small airline will close its hub in the North Bay after accepting a contract with the US Department of Homeland Security to operate deportation flights from Arizona.

Avelo planes will no longer be at the Charles M. Schulz Airport in Santa Rosa as of May 1.

In a statement sent to KTVU on Wednesday, an Avelo spokesperson said the reason the airline was leaving Sonoma County was because of "low demand" and "achieving necessary financial results there has proven more elusive than expected."
