Mesa Airlines stakk av med DHL-kontrakt

Amerikanske Mesa Airlines som blant annet flyr CRJ for American Eagle og E175 for United Express, stikker av med kapasitetskontrakt med DHL i USA. Virker som en virkelig god bransje å satse på der borte, fra før har jo iAero Airways og Sun Country Airlines startet å fly 737-fraktfly i år.

Mesa Air Group is set to begin B737 operations following the signing of a five-year CMI contract with DHL Express.

The US production carrier holding said in a statement Mesa Airlines (YV, Phoenix Sky Harbor) would operate two B737-400(F)s on behalf of DHL out of its Cincinnati Int'l hub. The aircraft will be leased from DHL Worldwide Express with the first scheduled to be in service this October.

Eies av DHL selv, og opereres for DHL av andre.
Ser at DHL har nylig flyttet på 734F fra Southern Air til iAero Airways og Kalitta Charters II, så kan kanskje være at noen av de andre hos Southern Air skal til Mesa? Ikke vet jeg.

Mesa Air Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: MESA) Monday operated its first revenue cargo flight for DHL Express from its crew and maintenance base at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Mesa Airlines is the first regional airline to operate narrow-body aircraft like the Boeing 737. The company is currently completing the introduction of the Boeing 737 into the Mesa aircraft fleet.

Under the previously announced agreement, Mesa will operate two Boeing 737-400F aircraft on behalf of DHL for a five-year term. Monday marked the official start of that agreement as Mesa begins operations with its first Boeing 737-400F aircraft. The second aircraft is scheduled to enter service in November.
