Hello all,

Haven't had a chance to post yet, I work for BA in the Uk and will be visiting family in Bergen next weekend 4-7 Sep.

My plan at the moment is to fly LHR-OSL on BA arriving at 1100am, I would love to go to Torp and wondered if anyone knows who I can contact to get access to the hangars and ramp please? I hoped to do the museum at OSL, but understand it is closed on a Friday.

I will then fly from either Torp or OSL to BGO that evening.

I will have a free day in Bergen on the Saturday and would love to get a tour around the helicopter operators and the light aircraft if anyone could help me please? Are there any other local airfields I could visit, if anyone wants to take me on a local flight I would be happy to pay for their time.

Another request would be if anyone knows where I can get a seaplane flight locally that would be fantastic.

Sunday is the family day so no aviation for me, unless Alex ( moderator) will be around for a pint?

Monday I fly BGO-OSL-HEL-LHR

I will send a report or my trip next week.

Look forward to the replies

Many thanks
Kevin Reeve

Hei,

Fonnafly operates helicopter and seaplane flights over Bergen from their base in Sandviken.
See:

http://www.fonnafly.no/?page_id=13
Sandviken is within walking distance of central Bergen and a bit further along the footpath will you find "Gamle Bergen" open air museum.

Both the civilian and military aircraft museums at Gardermoen seem to be closed on Fridays.
The easiest way to go from OSLo airport to Torp is by train.
To check travel times, visit:

From Gardermoen and To Torp
At the Torp halt is there a free connecting bus for each train taking passengers to Torp Airport.
