Haha! Jeg går jevnlig til optiker, så mitt syn er det intet feil med. Forøvrig kan jeg være akkurat like sta som dere...så jeg gir meg ikke på dette. Selvsagt kan vi nå dra inn alle verdens flyselskaper som har helfargede motordeksler og halefinne med hvit kropp, utgangspunktet var uansett at eirjet følger et design som blant annet SAS, airBaltic og Blue1 har benyttet seg av, kun fargene, font og plassering av tekst varierer noe. Og som alle andre her spissformulerer jeg mine innlegg for å få frem budskapet!

Og SAS-gruppen gjør en del mer ut av designprogrammet sitt enn å male motorer/hale en farge... Nå er jo faktisk motorene og halene til alle med SAS look-a-like design forskjellig. Blå/rød hos SAS, Gul/hvit hos snowflake og grønn/sølv hos AirBaltic. Eirjet har.....ooops - de har grønn/grønn!!!

Dette er jo rett og slett bare boooooooooooooring... Grønnfargen var heslig og designet veldig kjedelig - men sikkert billig å komme opp med. Terningkast 1.

Jeg er ikke enig i at EirJet ligner på airBaltic, men her tar du munnen litt for full EB, Blue1 er nemlig blå/blå!

Jepp...og som jeg skriver litt tidligere i denne posten så skjønner jeg ingen ting av Blue1 sin design... Ei heller Spanair`s...

Eirjet takes first A320 ahead of December flights

Irish start-up operator Eirjet is to commence charter services on 23 December with an inaugural flight to Agadir in Morocco using its first 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.

The private equity-backed business says several further important tour contracts are due to be announced imminently, securing vital future business between the Shannon-based start-up and its tour operator clients.

Eirjet’s second launch service will be to the Spanish island of Lanzarote on 26 December with its third to Verona in Italy to follow. The carrier’s business strategy centres on serving holiday destinations principally in Turkey, northern Africa and the Mediterranean.

Commercial and operations director Robbie Winders says Eirjet is still aiming to expand its fleet to three A320s which will operate from Dublin and Shannon airports.

Conscious of the indifferent performance of recent Irish airline start-ups, Winders says the business’s strategy of leaving seat booking to established tour operators, combined with a strong management team with extensive experience in flight operations, gives it a much better chance of success.

“On the flight operations side of things we have some pretty impressive names – we have ex-fleet captains and ex-head of training from Aer Lingus. Not bad in terms of what we have as an industry in Ireland,” says Winders.

“Of course, we started early trying to instil confidence in the travel operators. We wanted to give them the definite idea that we would not be up and gone in a few weeks but that we were an operation that was here to stay.”

He says that several Iberian and UK charter operators are conducting flights to and from Ireland and adds: “Our guess is that there is a gap in the market which could very well be served by a domestic operator.”
