Coffee is served on airplanes, too, and it might even be supplied by that familiar purveyor of gourmet coffee from Seattle. Yet, sad to say, when you start to sip this coffee on an airplane, the only special taste you experience is that of a compost heap. How is it possible to screw up a cup of coffee so badly? I have several theories, all grounds for consideration.

Beware of airline coffee.
As a former American Airlines Cabin Service (airplane cleaners) employee, I have personally witnessed the cleaners use the same mop head (because they are more absorbant than rags or towels) that was used to clean the toilet, to clean the coffee decanter.
Gross, but 100% absolutely true. I worked for them 16 years ago, and haven't had a cup of airline coffee since then. unsure.gif
