Air One, a planned low cost Indian carrier, announced launch details:
- Launch: second half of 2005;
- Base: Bangalore;
- Fleet: plans to lease two ERJ 145 regional jets from SWISS. Plans to acquire a total of 25 Embraer aircraft over two years, of which five will be leased;
- Financing: plans to raise over USD20 million over the next two years to fund the acquisition of aircraft through debt financing. The carrier is in discussions with domestic and foreign financial institutions;
- Network: plans to connect secondary cities to major cities, for example, Bhubaneshwar and Pune to Bangalore;
- Fares: three fare levels, averaging 30% below current fares offered by major carriers;
- Distribution: Internet, airline offices and travel agents.
