Air France Summer Schedule: More for the Passenger
March 21, 2005 - Air France has announced its summer schedule for 2005.
The combined route network offers Air France-KLM passengers more flights, more destinations, a greater choice of departure times, and more attractive air fares.
Our French merger partner is focusing its new schedule on the fast-growing demand in a variety of markets. The additions listed below are just a sample of what is to come.
CENTRAL AND SOUTH AMERICA – Air France will be flying from Paris to each of its South American destinations at least once a day. Mexico City will see four flights a week plus a second flight every day using a Boeing 747-400. The same aircraft type will be flying to Caracas, Venezuela. The number of flights to Bogotá will increase by two each week so the Colombian capital will see daily flights from Paris.
NORTH AMERICA – Starting June 13, Air France will fly an A330 daily to Detroit, Michigan, an important hub for alliance partner Northwest. From May 9, the company will initiate its third daily flight to Washington, DC from Paris. Together with its codeshare partners Delta and Continental, Air France will offer its French customers 125 US cities via Houston as part of its new summer schedule.
ASIA – Air France will be expanding its Asian service to 128 round-trip flights. This will include second daily flights to Beijing and Mumbai. The carrier will fly in a codeshare together with SkyTeam partner Delta Air Lines to Madras in southeastern India every day.
EUROPE – Air France will offer three new destinations in eastern Europe this summer, flying daily to Belgrade (Serbia), twice a day to Ljubljana (Slovenia), and the Croatian capital of Zagreb. Flights to Vigo (Spain) will increase to three, as will the flights to Istanbul. Our French partner will operate nine flights a week to Marrakech (Morocco) and five times weekly to Casablanca and Tunis during the summer season.
MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA – Air France will make further improvements to its Dedicate program targeting business passengers flying to industrial regions — especially gas and oil producing areas — in Africa and the Middle East. This will include another weekly flight to Port Harcourt, Nigeria and five flights a week to Pointe-Noire in Congo Brazzaville.
