As of October 26, 2024, Virgin Atlantic (VS) will end its daily route between London Heathrow Airport (LHR) and Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG).

Virgin Atlantic (VS) has announced its return to Mexico, starting in winter 2025. From London Heathrow Airport (LHR), VS passengers will enjoy three weekly flights to Cancún International Airport (CUN)
CEO Shai Weiss says the airline "would like to return to Gatwick when the time is right."
The airline also wants to leave Terminal 3 at Heathrow, citing that the existing T3 is not Virgin's proper home and is not fit for purpose.
Så er det vel en del OneWorld-avganger som med fordel kunne vært flyttet til T3 siden BA også har en del T3-anganger: Qatar, Royal Air Marocco, Vueling, Malaisia. Men det strekker kanskje ikke til.Hvor vil Virgin da? LHR T2 er vel i dag full og det er vel lite trolig at de flyselskapene der vil flytte på seg. Og T4 ligger jo isolert fra resten av terminalene og er vel for liten til VS og SkyTeam (de selskaper som i dag er i T3 inkl Delta).
