W6 Ny Wizz Air-base: Cluj-Napoca

Den 23. juli 2016 åbner det ungarske lavprisflyselskab Wizz Air sin tredje rute fra Billund Lufthavn. Destinationen er Cluj-Napoca i Rumænien, og Billund bliver alene om at betjene destinationen fra Danmark.

Billund Lufthavn har fået godt fat i Wizz Air, der er Central- og Østeuropas største lavprisflyselskab. I dag flyver selskabet fra den internationale vestdanske lufthavn til Gdansk og Vilnius, og fra næste sommer kommer Cluj-Napoca til som en tredje destination.

Cluj er vel en by med ganske mye teknologibedrifter, men det er kanskje ikke hovedmålgruppa her?

WizzAir in July 2016 will expand service from its Cluj base, through the addition of 5th based Airbus A320 aircraft. The airline will open 4 new routes, a total of 8 weekly flights.

eff 22JUL16 Cluj – Doncaster/Sheffield 2 weekly
eff 23JUL16 Cluj – Billund 2 weekly
eff 24JUL16 Cluj – Alicante 2 weekly

In addition, the airline will gradually expanding operational frequencies on existing routes to/from Cluj:
eff 27MAR16 Cluj – Brussels Charleroi Increase from 3 to 4 weekly
eff 27MAR16 Cluj – Malmo Increase from 2 to 3 weekly
eff 27MAR16 Cluj – Nuremberg Increase from 2 to 3 weekly
eff 22JUL16 Cluj – London Luton Increase from 14 to 20 weekly
eff 22JUL16 Cluj – Tel Aviv Increase from 2 to 3 weekly
