Norwegian plans to open a new base in Tenerife:

Norwegians short haul operations have at the present three bases operational in Spain (Malaga, Alicante and Las Palmas) and a base in London. A new base in Tenerife is planned operational at the start of the winter program, in addition to the Nordic countries.

Hovedtrafikken blir vel Kanariøyene- Norge/Sverige/Danmark. Men de vil kanskje også prøve seg på trafikken mellom Kanariøyene og fastlands-Spania? dette vil hindre oppstart av planlagte Aerocanarias.

En gruppe kanariske investorer har planer om å starte et nytt flyselskap, Aerocanarias, melder Canariposten. Selskapet har som formål å fylle tomrommet etter Spanair på rutene mellom Kanariøyene og Spania.

I think Norwegian is planning more frequencies and probably new Scandinavian routes in TFS. Spanish domestic traffic is going down and not attractive for airlines.
 
Tror nok vi vil se TFS-LPA-TOS-LPA-TFS da muligens i løpet av vinteren :)

Akkurat som vi ble tatt på senga av LPA-TOS.

De jeg har prata med i Norwegian sier at LPA-TOS var en av de mest økonomiske rutene fra LPA denne vinteren, så er spent på hva som kommer da fra TFS også :)

Men TFS-TOS er vel lengre enn LPA-TOS så er ikke sikkert det går ihht til range på 800ern.

LPA-TOS ble flydd av B738 i 160 seat config ikke 186 som normalt :)

Noen som har peiling da W13 programmet til DY er klart? :)

Om det blir TFS-TOS i vinter vil nok ikke den gå via LPA.
Flygninger til LPA har TFS som alternativ og flygninger til TFS har LPA som alternativ landingsplass.

Da skulle det tilsvare omtrentlig samme distanse. ;)
 
Og opplegget ser ut til å bli som på LPA-basen, med kontraktsansette Adecco-crew - primært fra Spania. Flyr de turnarounds, eller har de night stop?

Norwegian outlines first domestic Spanish flights due from January on​

Norwegian (DY, Oslo Gardermoen) has applied for slot to operate its first domestic Spanish flights with effect from January 1, 2014, ch-aviation can exclusively reveal. Thus far, the following routes have been requested: Tenerife Sur to Madrid Barajas (return) on Days 1,3,5 and Tenerife Sur to Barcelona El Prat on Days 2,4,6. Tenerife Sur to Berlin Schönefeld is also scheduled to operate on Day 7.

Da får både Tenerife og Gran Canaria en 2x ukentlig flight til Manchester med Norwegian

In addition to the two new routes and extra capacity from London Gatwick, Norwegian has also launched two new routes from Manchester, with a twice-weekly service to Gran Canaria starting 30th October and twice-weekly service to Tenerife starting 1st November
