Jeg har i flere år fulgt 1011-trådene på pprune, mye interessant teknisk og historisk stoff fra gamle garvede for en nostalgiker.

"Have you guys flown on the L-1011-500??
I was reading an interesting article about the Falklands, and they mention that every 5 days, a L-1011 flies from Brize Norton AFB, via Asencion to the Falklands for military re-supply. However any seat that is empty can be sold to the public. Cost for this is a hefty £1100 (one-way) for 20hours of TriStar time.........and then back either again by RAF for another £1100 or go to Chile on LAN and then to London for £900.....
Seats can be booked via a government website here in the UK.
If you have a couple of thousand of pounds floating around, then this is a good, interesting and fast way to spend them... "
