På dagen 1 år etter er det 9M-MRF som flyr rute MH19, som vel erstattet MH17? Ligger nå trygt plantet over India på 37,000ft. Sikkert en noe spesiell flight for både passasjerer og crew tenker jeg.

A Russian military missile was responsible for shooting down flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine in 2014. At a press conference in The Hague on Thursday, the investigators showed photo and video evidence that they said proved they had identified the specific BUK missile system responsible.

They said they had “legal and convincing evidence which will stand up in a courtroom” that the BUK system involved came from the 53rd anti-aircraft missile brigade based in Kursk, in western Russia... for the first time pointing the finger directly at Moscow.

Allegations that Russia was behind the shooting down of a passenger jet over Ukraine have advanced closer to the Kremlin today with the identification of a high-ranking FSB officer as a potential suspect.

The officer with the Federal Security Service, who is fourth in the chain of command below President Putin, was named as a key person of interest in the downing of the Malaysia Airlines liner MH17 in 2014, killing 298 people.

Colonel General Andrei Burlaka, deputy head of the Federal Security Service’s border guards, allegedly controlled the flow of weapons from Russia into Ukraine at the time of the catastrophic incident.

He was present in the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don near the border when MH17 was shot down with a Buk missile launcher on July 17, 2014, according to leaked travel records.

The record shows he arrived in the city on July 15 and left on July 18.
