Helitrans looking for typerated C525 copilot

Helitrans should be in the position to pay for the typerating for a Cessna CJ3 copilot themselves, but apart from that it is nice to the that you are employing.

Yea, look at it from the airlines perspective! Would you rather have someone who have the rating and can start working right away - or would you rather have someone you have to spend money and time training on the type?

Obviously you would try the first option before the second.

Og jeg som trodde Helitrans var et norsk selskap, men kommunisere på norsk kan de ikke :p

I think most airliners prefer type rated pilots, nothing wrong with that :old

Of course an airliner wants to spend the least money necessary. But it is a shame that we continue to allow them more and more of the expenses an airliner previously had for training their staff to be transferred over to the pilots. It is an evil circle, and pilots have to embrace bigger and bigger economic risks, even before getting a job or making it to an interview. The airliners with good economic stability should, as previously said, be in the position to pay for it themselves so that this somewhat extreme desperation in the pilot market can be stopped. Newly educated pilots accept too much, and few airliners have the backbone to not take advantage of it.
