LItt gammelt nytt, men indiske GoAir bestemte seg for en stund tilbake å rebrande seg som GoFirst. Nå er første fly klart i de nye fargene, men det ser ikke spesielt bra ut.

Re: GoAir blir GoFrist

Motorproblemene på A320neo-flyene deres med PW-motorer har nå gjort at Go First har meldt seg insolvent, operasjonene 3.-4. mai er nå kansellert....
Minst 24 A320neo av Go First sine A320neo står parkert. Utenom en stor A320neo-flåte, har de fortsatt 5 A320ceo(SL).
India’s Go First files for insolvency, sues P&W for $977mn
Go First (G8, Mumbai International) has filed for insolvency at the National Company Law Tribunal in Delhi, blaming “Pratt & Whitney’s defective and failing engines” for a cash-flow crisis, it said in a two-page statement on May 2. According to local media, it has suspended its flights for May 3 and 4.

The low-cost carrier said it had filed an application with the tribunal to enter the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process under section 10 of India’s Insolvency Bankruptcy Code. It has also taken the step of suing the engine maker for INR80 billion rupees (USD977.2 million) in damages at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), it said.

Da går det mot likvidering av selskapet, omsider vil noen si. Ennå er det svært mange av flyene deres som ikke har fått nye opertører, og er nok ikke bare pga de står i India med feil på P&W motorene.

The committee of creditors (CoC) of Go First (GOW, Mumbai International) has voted to liquidate the insolvent carrier after offers to buy it fell short of expectations, according to multiple Indian news reports. An insolvency application will be filed at the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), a specialist bankruptcy court, on August 5, 2024.
