Flying V - nytt konsept for flydesign

KLM har sponset det tekniske universitet i Delft med å utarbeide et konsept med en nytt flykonsept. Flying V er navnet, og som navnet impliserer er det et fly formet som en V.

Hvordan eller hvorfor det skal bli noe av akkurat dette konseptet skal jeg ikke si noe om

The aircraft’s v-shaped design will integrate the passenger cabin, the cargo hold and the fuel tanks in the wings. Its improved aerodynamic shape and reduced weight will mean it uses 20% less fuel than the Airbus A350, today’s most advanced aircraft. A flying scale model and a full-size section of the interior of the Flying-V will be officially presented at the KLM Experience Days at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in October on the occasion of KLM’s 100th anniversary.

KLM backer flyvende ving

Fortsatt 20-30 år unna, men KLM er med på å backe en ny flytype som ser ut som en flyvende vinge. Passasjerkapasiteten blir omtrent som A350.

A scaled-down model of the design will make its first public test flight in October at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol as part of KLM’s 100th anniversary celebrations. Passengers keen to see what things will look like on board will also be able to see a full-size section of the interior at the Dutch airport.
