The government of Ukraine has set up a special commission to manage the process of liquidating aircraft maker Antonov. The manufacturer is famous for producing Soviet-designed transport planes like the An-124 Ruslan and An-225 Mriya.

The government has ordered Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister Yury Brovchenko to head the commission and ensure that within two months "the implementation of measures related to the liquidation of the concern," and to pay off the creditors of the enterprise.

Kyiv: The liquidation of the state concern «Antonov» will not affect the work of the enterprises that used to be part of it, because all of them were transferred to another state concern «Ukroboronprom». Such information about the disappearance of «Antonov» member of Public Council under the State Aviation Service and airman Bogdan Dolintse exclusively told to Front News International.

Boeing has through a subsidiary carved out a deal to supply parts to the Ukrainian firm Antonov.
The firm had ceased production because of its heavy reliance on Russian imports, which had collapsed after Moscow's annexation of Crimea in 2014.

But, Boeing's parts, equipment and services unit, Aviall, is set to now provide the components and Antonov plans to build eight aircraft a year from the end of next year. The deal, which was signed at the Farnborough International Airshow, was confirmed to CNBC via email on Friday.
