I just want to say that the Tempelhof terminal is SUCH an amazing building...

Sad that THF is not used as airport anymore. Would have been a great city-airport for Berlin.

Truly great colour scheme on that 'lankan bird! And a superb HDR, not too much overdone as many others would do Love the lines and the bow going all over the frame. Sublime capture you've got there

Indeed, THF could be a perfect city airport, but as we know, there´s always somebody who "knows best". They closed the airport because of rising costs and sinking profit (as they [the city government] said). Now, with the airport closed, there is no profit at all and the costs of keeping the area safe, clean etc. etc. are higher, than a couple of years ago, when THF was still alive.

So, concluding: It makes more sense to have an airport closed and spend more money for it, than to keep it open and benefit of its progress... and pay less. So stupid and sad... .
