De gjør det vist godt (inntjening) på ICE-flyvninger, men liker ikke så godt motstanden det fører med.
De har derfor lakkert iallfall to av deres maskiner (N803XT og N804VL) helhvit og fått sporing på f.eks FR24, FlightAware etc. blokkert.

Da skal de restrukturere litt, legger ned basene på RDU, AZA og ILM, mens de oppretter base på QQT, mens Boeing 737-700 forsvinner ut av flåten.

Avelo Airlines Update:

Avelo Airlines has completed a major recapitalization, achieving one of the strongest cash positions in their history. This will support their long-term strategy as they focus operations around four bases: New Haven, Conn. (HVN); Philadelphia/Delaware Valley (ILG); Charlotte/Concord, N.C. (USA); and Central Florida/Lakeland (LAL), with a new base in Dallas/McKinney, Texas (TKI) planned in 2026.

Avelo will close its Mesa, Ariz. (AZA); Raleigh-Durham, N.C. (RDU); and Wilmington, N.C. (ILM) bases while maintaining key routes from New Haven and others. Customers will be informed about itinerary changes via Avelo’s Customer Support Center.

Additionally, Avelo will retire six Boeing 737-700 aircraft, focusing on the more efficient 737-800 model and preparing for growth with an order of up to 100 Embraer 195-E2 aircraft.

Unfortunately, this will result in some furloughs in the meantime, but with the upcoming base opening and aircraft orders Avelo has plans to hire later this year.
