Airbus A350-2000 - statustråd

Det ryktes at Airbus jobber med en "stretch" av A35X som skal være et tilsvar til Boeing 777X.

This stretch would bring the total passenger capacity close to 400-410 seats, aligning it with the Boeing 777X’s projected offerings. There shall be several other key modifications, including the addition of a Type C emergency exit.

Some tweaks to the wing design for improved aerodynamics can also be expected. Airbus might need more powerful engines (possibly of an advanced design). One can expect an increase in maximum take-off weight (MTOW) to accommodate the added length and payload.

Strengt tatt er ikke det noe rykte, da Airbussjefen selv har sagt de ser på en mulighet om å forlenge A350-1000.

A longer version of the A350 that would come close to the passenger capacity of the Boeing 777-9 is also a possibility in the longer term, Faury says.

Det fikser nok Airbus, men det er ikke noe hastverk, ser ikke ut til at 777X blir levert i overskuelig framtid.

Det er vel som med 787-10 its not if, but when.
Etter som både understell, vinge og motorer er forskjellige på A350-900 og -1000 så ligger vel dette i kortene.
