AirAsia X (D7, Kuala Lumpur Int'l) will extend its international reach further from Kuala Lumpur Int'l amid growing demand for air travel, announcing on June 15 the resumption of its long-haul route to London later this year and the launch of new routes to Dubai Int'l and Istanbul New.

Ruten går over Dubai i første omgang.

AirAsia X (D7, Kuala Lumpur Int'l) has obtained six weekly slots at Dubai Int'l airport for the Summer 2023 season and has indicated it is planning to use them to launch fifth-freedom flights from Kuala Lumpur Int'l via Dubai to London Gatwick.

AirAsia X is set to return to Europe in November after an absence of more than 13 years, marking a key step in the group’s ambitious strategy to position itself as a global LCC.

The medium and long-haul arm of AirAsia will launch a nonstop service between Kuala Lumpur and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport starting Nov. 17. The route will operate four times per week using Airbus A330-300 aircraft, OAG Schedules Analyser data shows.
