Om ca ett års tid så starter Aeroflot opp med det nye LCC konseptet
ch aviation
Aeroflot (SU, Moscow Sheremetyevo) may base its planned low-cost subsidiary at either Moscow Sheremetyevo or Moscow Vnukovo company CEO, Vitaly Savelyev, has said. Mr Savelyev went on to add that talks with Vnukovo were already underway. The LCC, while still unnamed, will operate a fleet of either eight Airbus A320s or Boeing 737s in its first year, with more planes to be added as time and business progresses. Amongst various cost-cutting measures planned for the airline include allowing the sale of non-refundable tickets, authorizing the introduction of a baggage fee and authorizing the employment of foreign pilots. Savelyev ended by saying that if Russia's Duma voted in favour of the move, then an April/May 2014 launch date would be feasible.
