Fra Irish Times:
Willie Walsh, the Chief Executive of Aer Lingus, has warned that higher oil prices could have an adverse impact on the Irish airline's profits in 2005. The carrier is expected to post operating profits of around EUR 95mn (US$ 116.91mn) in 2004, a performance Walsh believes will be hard to maintain if oil prices remain high. The warning comes despite Aer Lingus hedging 68% of its fuel requirements for 2005.
