Austrian Airlines melder:

* E R B I L - temporary suspension of Operation as of August 26th,
2007

Regrettably we have been informed about an incident involving a
civil aircraft at Suleymaniah on 8th August 2007. After two weeks of own in
depth investigations, we came to the conclusion that we cannot exclude with
sufficient certainty, that this incident constitiuted an attempted attack on
a civil aircraft. This result, regrettably, leaves us no choice in our
options.

As safety always comes first, we are very sorry to inform you that
Austrian Airlines has decided to suspend all flights into Erbil with
immediate effect until ongoing and continuing safety and security
evaluations indicate that no risk remains.

Please be assured that this decision has not been taken without
careful considerations of all circumstances. We are sure that you can
appreciate our concern for the welfare and safety of our passengers. As soon
as the situation allows, we look forward to resume flight operations into
Erbil.
