Default Airbus chooses SAS Maintenance Training

Airbus chooses SAS Maintenance Training

Elevated sales and the successful expansion of Airbus have heightened the demand for training and support services. As a result, Airbus has chosen to cooperate with a number of high quality training organizations, including SAS Maintenance Training. On behalf of Airbus, the training will be performed under the auspices of SAS Maintenance Training´s PART-147 quality system at our training sites in Europe or at the customer´s location.

This is consistent with SAS Maintenance Training´s strategy to increase our external customer base. In 2006 we expect that a full two-thirds of our business will come from activities outside of SAS Technical Services.

SAS Maintenance Training is a business unit within SAS Technical Services, and is a highly respected training organization serving some 50 maintenance, manufacturing and public organizations. We have customers from Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and the Middle East. Our current training sites are in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo and Palma de Mallorca. We also have a mobile training solution, to perform training at the customers' location, to the same high quality that we provide at our own sites. We currently employ about 50 highly skilled instructors with extensive aviation maintenance experience.

SAS Maintenance Training is an approved Part-147 organization according to EASA regulations.

SAS Technical Services AB is the leading provider of aircraft maintenance in the Nordic region with approximately 2600 employees and a turnover of around 550 million Euros.
The services and products offered include Line Maintenance, Airframe Maintenance with Base- and Heavy Maintenance, Engineering Services, Engine Management, Material Management and Maintenance Training. These services can be supplied as Full Service Technical Support Programs or as Customer Tailored Support Programs.
The head office is located in Stockholm at Arlanda Airport. Production bases are located in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Tallinn, Bergen and Gothenburg. Furthermore, there are some 80 line stations all over the world.
SAS Technical Services AB is a fully owned subsidiary of SAS AB and a member of the Airline Support Businesses of the SAS Group.

Dette er gode nyheter for SAS. Godt at de får til noe bra nå som de er i jubileumsåret også.
