Etter første påkjørsel av 787 viser det seg at det er relativt lett å reparere skader på komposittskroget. Erfaringen er at karbonfiberen er sterkere enn aluminium, dermed blir omfanget av skaden mindre.

In fact, a Boeing team was able to fix one Dreamliner in just four to five days, after a catering truck punched a hole in the fuselage.
