SAS commissions AVIAREPS with representation in the Czech and Slovak Republics

2 June 2010

SAS Scandinavian Airlines focuses on the Eastern European markets and strengthens its business presence in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic by appointing local AVIAREPS office its GSA. This new agreement represents the second online market appointment for the globally active representation company, as AVIAREPS already handles business in the Ukraine for SAS. Ivan Vodicka, General Manager of AVIAREPS Czech Republic, and his motivated team are responsible for sales, marketing and ticketing activities.

“We look forward to enhanced sales and marketing presence in both countries. AVIAREPS has proven a reliable partner for SAS in other markets, and we will build on this relationship for the benefit of our customers,” says Marek Pedersen, SAS District Manager for East Europe.

SAS offers seasonal direct flights from Prague to Stockholm with state-of-the-art Boeing 737-600 aircraft. In addition, there are up to four daily code-share flights via Copenhagen and Gothenburg, offering excellent connections from Prague to SAS destinations in Scandinavia, Finland, other European destinations, the USA and Asia.

“We are very proud to have been chosen as representative by one of the most important airlines in Northern Europe. Our local market expertise and management know-how will help our client gain access to the new markets in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. We are looking forward to the challenge of establishing such a valued partner in these two countries,” says Oliver Kuechler, Chief Operating Officer Aviation at AVIAREPS.
