Verdens travleste flyplass i 2014

Nærflyplassen min er fortsatt verdens travleste, målt i passasjerer. O'Hare har imidlertid passert oss i antall bevegelser, mens Dubai har tatt over tronen fra Heathrow målt i antall internasjonale passasjerer.

Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport again wears the double crown as the world’s busiest airport, ranking highest in both flight counts and passengers for 2015.

The Atlanta airport lost half of its title when its flights counts for 2014 fell below that of Chicago O’Hare International Airport’s traffic.

But the 2015 figures are out, and Atlanta has retaken the No. 1 spot from Chicago for flight totals. Hartsfield-Jackson had a total of 882,497 flights compared with O’Hare’s 875,136, according to Federal Aviation Administration Statistics.

Og når du legger til at amerikanere er verdens tyngste pax så blir det nesten astronomisk å tenke på hvor mye masse som håndteres på ATL:colgate::

Nearly one in four North American passengers weigh more than 91kg (200 pounds), while 71 per cent of Asian passengers weigh less than 68kg (150 pounds).
