" Good evening,
fasten your seatbelts, we have the trip of a lifetime for you (it´s not cheap, but oh well...)
On 20 November a VVIP-equipped Boeing 727-100 will depart at 7:00 AM from Cape Town (South Africa) to Novolazarevskaya
research station in Antarctica. The station is around 75 kilometers inland from the coast in Queen Maud Land, due South of Cape Town (well, 5 hours flying South of it).
There, the Boeing 727 will land on an ice runway. On location, a stay of about 8 hours is planned, during which all passengers can take part in an extensive sightseeing programme around the station, visit the nearby Schirrmacher Oasis and join an opulent barbecue.
Later in the evening, the return flight to Cape Town will depart, where the Boeing 727 will land at 22:00hrs approximately.
The Boeing 727 has only 36 seats, 18 in First and 18 in Business Class, all of which are super comfortable. On board, two chefs will take care of the passengersŽ well-being. The fellow passengers are from the UK, Switzerland and some members of the Saudi Royal Family apparently.
The ticket price is 4500 EUR in Business Class and 6500 EUR in First Class and includes everything, the flight, the tours, all meals and the experience of a lifetime.
So get your act together, sell that car and join in!
To travel on this flight, you should arrive in Cape Town two days ahead of the departure and leave an extra day after the flight, as weather can be quite severe and make changes necessary.
Just a handful of seats are available in both classes.
Should you be interested in joining, please do write me an e-mail!
Find attached some mouthwatering pictures of the aircraft and the ice runway.
Very best regards!
Sebastian Schmitz "
