Spareplan i SAS administrasjonen

"Dear Colleagues,

Over the past few years, we have made significant progress in transforming SAS, rising from a period marked by tough market conditions, high costs and structural challenges, to an airline with strong operational performance and a forward-looking strategic direction.

To continue our success, we are committed to constantly transforming and building SAS for the future. Part of this involves having a close look at how we are organized, as it’s our ongoing responsibility to ensure we are set up for success.

With the aim of helping SAS transform for the future, we have therefore initiated a reset of our Corporate Functions. This involves clarifying accountabilities, enabling execution at pace, developing the necessary strategic capabilities, adopting modern, digitally enabled ways of working and further outsourcing of relevant tasks and processes.

Scope and expected impact
In scope: All approximately 1500 corporate roles are in scope of this initiative, with an emphasis on non-Operations.

Expected impact: We expect around 200 corporate roles (incl. vacancies) to be affected in the organizational reset.

NOT in scope: All frontline roles across Operations, including Crews, Ground Handling, Frontline Maintenance and other teams with shift workers.

NOT in scope: Teams in Cargo and Customer Service working in shifts to cover operational needs.

The process to map the actual impact of this initiative is ongoing in collaboration with our unions. Therefore, we are not yet able to share any detailed information about functional or individual impact. As the process unfolds, we will provide regular updates as information becomes available.

Today, Monday, May 5th at 2 pm, we will host a Digital Town Hall where Pernille and I will speak to the “why” behind this reset of our Corporate Functions, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions.

I understand this announcement may bring uncertainty and concern for many. Please know that we are fully committed to supporting all of you throughout this transition, and we encourage you to lean on your leader, your colleagues and your People & Culture Partners for support.

Best regards,
Anko
