Qantas returnerer til New York neste år, men mens de tidligere fløy via LAX, og fikk feed inn fra deres viktigste australske byer der, vil de nå fly via Auckland. 3x ukentlig med 787-9, og i konkurranse med Air New Zealand, som starter å fly her i midten av september

Da har Air New Zealand gjennomført sin første flygning fra Auckland til New York.

Qantas in Northern summer 2026 season plans to expand service to New York, where the carrier plans to increase service from 5 to 7 weekly, effective 23JUN26. The carrier’s 787-9 Dreamliner operates Sydney – Auckland – New York JFK routing.
