Ny Eurowings Europe-base: Palma de Mallorca

Eurowings Europe (E2, Vienna) has announced it will open a new base at Palma Son Sant Joan, Spain in May of next year. The Eurowings (EW, Dusseldorf) subsidiary will deploy a pair of A320-200s to the Balearic airfield for use in opening routes to unspecified cities in Germany and other European nations.

The base is the LCC's first outside of Austria and its third overall. At present, it operates from its main Vienna hub with Salzburg to come online from January 2017.

Palma var jo inntil nylig en Air Berlin hub, og selv om de fortsatt dekker Tyskland bra, så ser det ut som Eurowings nå forsøker ta deres plass

Det ryktes jo endel steder at Eurowings skal ta over deler av Air Berlins rutenett
