Som tidligere nevnt, har vi ett aarlig Flyertalk arrangement som alltid er en opplevelse helt utenom det vanlige. I november var noen her med paa besoek hos SAS, Air Canada i Toronto, United i Chicago og endte opp paa COs hjem i Houston. Noen fantastiske, uforglemmelige dager, uten tvil!
I aar har vi (LH Forum moderator Oliver2002 og meg) tenkt aa bryne oss paa noe som er stoerre enn noen gang: Ett besoek til Airbusfabrikken og til CDG eller LHR for aa kikke paa Airbus 380 MED MER. Dersom alt klaffer, vil dette skje ombord i en av SAS sine Airbus A319 som vi planlegger aa chartre. Dette avhenger selvsagt at vi faar nok oppslutning.
Catering ombord, klasseinndeling osv. vil for en gangs skyld organiseres av oss som vanligvis mottar servering, saa det kan bli interessant.
Vi er akkurat kommet i gang med planleggingen og driver aa snakker med SAS om diverse ting naa, Tidspunkt blir trolig 5-7 november..

All,
Us Scandinavians usually have an annual DO and this year would be no different.
Long story short, the SAS DO has now turned in to an annual Star Alliance DO instead hosted by CO, LH and SK!
Many of you have already seen the thread in the SAS forum, I thought it was appropriate to move the thread to Community so more Flyertalkers can join.

Before you post, please note:
- If you are interested, please read the first few posts and post in this thread. The list of participants is pending prices and set program
- The maximum participants is 300.
Here we go:
Flyertalk in cooperation with Lufthansa presents:
The first annual Star Alliance DO!
Join us for a once in a lifetime experience, including the first Flyertalk chartered flights on a widebody!
On this flights the Flight Attendants will actually be there for your safety only. Your servers on board will be your Flyertalk Moderator Crew lead by Purser Randy Petersen. The catering and service on board will be nothing like you have ever experienced on an aircraft before. That is a promise.
Also
- Welcoming CO to the Star Alliance
- Visit the Airbus factory and take a look at the Airbus A380
- Visit Scandinavian Airlines in Oslo
- Visit Lufthansa's home in Frankfurt
PS!! Everyone is welcome!!
Preliminary Program (PS! This will is a PRELIMINARY program, we are working with Lufthansa and the other carriers and are in the planning stages right now. We recently had our first meeting and conversations with the carriers, so there will probably be changes. Please check this post for updates.)
November 3rd
3PM CO welcomes us for a pre-flight tour in EWR (location TBD). Space will be limited to participants that are on the official party flight, LH405. CO Insider will join the entire DO and I'm working with him to make an event to welcome Star Alliance new Star, Continental!!
6:30PM Busses courtesy of Star Alliance will transport us to JFK
7:30PM Arrival at JFK. We take over the brand new LH lounges at JFK
9:45PM The official party flight, LH405 departs JFK with the two front sections of business class filled with Flyertalkers!
November 4th
Program TBD, among things planned are: Watch the FT moderators go through Flight Attendant training
November 5th
0600 Champagne breakfast in FRA
0700 FRA-OSL flight
0800 Champagne breakfast in OSL for members starting there.
0850 Arrive OSL, parking at the SAS hangar
Breakfast continues.
1030 Main DO flight OSL-TLS
1300 Arrive TLS
The BIG Airbus DO, hopefully a tour of the FIRST LH A380!!
1730 TLS-FRA
1830 Arrive FRA
Friday November 6th
A day at LHs main base, more info will follow.
Official DO party dinner, working to arrange night caps at the LH FCT!!
The event has become pretty popular, so please put yourself on the "I'm interested" list as soon as possible.
