On July 15, 2025, Luxair, the flag carrier of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, announced a major route expansion for the 2026 summer season.

The Luxembourgish airline will launch up to eight nine routes, most of which have an unmistakable leisure orientation.

Luxair will be connecting Luxembourg (LUX) to Girona (GRO), Edinburgh (EDI), Helsinki (HEL), Tunis (TUN), Alicante (ALC), Bilbao (BIO), Zakynthos (ZTH) and Patras-Araxos (PTH), in Greece, as well as to Porto Santo (PXO), a small Portuguese island located next to Madeira, in the Atlantic.
