Lufthansa har annonsert at både deres Lockheed L-1694A Superstar og the JU 52 skal settes opp som en permanent utstilling. Enten i FRA eller MUC. Per i dag står vel flyene delvis i deler og delvis montert i PAD

Lufthansa (LH) Chairman and CEO Carsten Spohr has announced that the airline’s historic Lockheed Superstar and JU 52 aircraft will be given a new home to commemorate the German carrier’s 100th anniversary.

L1649 maskinen skal nå være malt, før den etterhvert skal fraktes til FRA og stilles ut der.

Lufthansa’s historic flagship, the Lockheed L-1649A Super Star, has been fully repainted in its original 1950s livery at Münster/Osnabrück Airport, with 500 litres of special paint donated by Mankiewicz. The intricate design, including Lufthansa’s signature parabolas, was recreated using archival plans from Lufthansa Technik.

Next week, the aircraft will be transported to Frankfurt Airport, where it will become a centrepiece of Lufthansa’s new conference and visitor centre, opening spring 2026 alongside the iconic Junkers Ju 52, marking the 100th anniversary of the airline’s founding.
