DALLAS – Canada Jetlines (AU) has released its Q2 2023 financial results, revealing a loss of C$940,000 (US$698,000) for the period. This compared to a loss of C$3.6m (US$2.6m) for the same quarter last year.

However, the airline added that it would need to raise additional capital to support its forward business plan. This is being sought in the form of debt, convertible debt or equity to further invest in the business and facilitate the continued growth of the fleet.

Avtale med Air Arabia Maroc.

Start-up carrier Canada Jetlines plans to deploy two Airbus A320s for flights this summer between Morocco and Western Europe through a three-month contract with Air Arabia Maroc.

The Toronto-based airline said on 26 March that two of its jets are committed to fly for Air Arabia between mid-June and mid-September under wet lease-ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance) agreements.

Such agreements are a major part of Canada Jetlines’ business plan, which is based on a mix of scheduled, chartered and ACMI operations.

Corendon Dutch Airlines har i sommer leid inn 2 A320 fra Jetlines, en med base i Maastricht og en i Rotterdam. De har nå måtte ty til ad-hoc innleie i Jetlines fravær siden natt til torsdag. Av de som hittil har steppet inn er LEAV Aviation, Corendon Airlines (Tyrkia), Airseven, DAT, GetJet.
