IL96 flyene er alle groundet

Har ikke rigtigt set noget om det på "vores" forum, men flere andre forums skriver om
om at alle IL96 fly er grounded grundet problemer med reservedele.
Det har tilsyneladende vist sig at der er "falske reservedele" i Præsident flyet.

Nogle skriver ligeledes at , fabrikkerne ikke har bygget IL96 som de skulle, altså ikke
have fulgt tegningerne...Der nævnes især den fabrik der hedder VASO...

Russia threatens to ground Il-96s over brake problems

Russian air safety authorities have proposed temporarily grounding the Ilyushin Il-96-300 fleet after concerns over incidents attributed to braking systems on the aircraft.

In a statement the Russian ministry of transport says that an investigation has traced the incidents to flawed production of parts used in the Il-96’s braking assembly. The probe, it adds, has also turned up a case of “falsification” of documentation relating to the components’ production.

Federal transport supervision chief Alexander Neradko has proposed halting Il-96-300 operations from today until the problems have been solved.

Neradko made the proposal to the Government as well as the heads of several airlines. The ministry of transport says that Il-96 aircraft experienced a number of incidents during August involving faulty wheel-braking systems, and that there is evidence of similar earlier occurrences.

“Airlines which use this type of aircraft repeatedly focused the attention of manufacturers to the need to modify a number [of parts],” says the ministry. “However, no reaction from the industry followed.”

Given the potential effects on flight safety, says the ministry, the supervisory authority has proposed grounding the type from today “until the elimination of the indicated problems”.

Operators of the Il-96-300 include Russian flag-carrier Aeroflot, Domodedovo Airlines, Atlant-Soyuz and state carrier Rossiya.

Il-96 grounding hits Aeroflot long-haul schedule

Russian flag-carrier Aeroflot has been forced to reorganise its flight schedule after supervisory authorities forced the airline to ground its six Ilyushin Il-96-300 aircraft following concerns over brakes on the type.

Federal transport safety supervisors recommended that Il-96-300 aircraft be grounded after discovering flaws in the manufacturing of wheel-brake components.

Aeroflot says that the measure effectively cripples 40% of its long-haul fleet and has had repercussions across its intercontinental schedule. It says that it has put in place a crisis plan to manage its fleet and timetable.

Services to Hanoi in Vietnam have been cancelled as well as a number of flights to Washington, Toronto, Seoul and Beijing.

“In order to guarantee planned transportation the airline has been forced to use other types of aircraft and change the frequency of flights on a number of long-haul routes,” says the carrier.

It is to operate flights to Shanghai, Beijing, Bangkok and Seoul with Boeing 767s, services to Delhi and Khabarovsk with Ilyushin Il-86s, and flights to the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatka peninsula with Ilyushin Il-62s.

“After the elimination of all deficiencies we will be able to renew the Il-96 operation,” says Aeroflot.

State carrier Rossiya is among the operators affected. There are indications that a fault with a Rossiya Il-96, discovered during an official visit by Russia’s President Vladimir Putin to Finland earlier this month, helped to prompt the grounding recommendation.

Other airlines potentially affected by the measures include Domodedovo Airlines – which is said to be using replacement Boeing 767s for services from Moscow – as well as KrasAir.

Men for å snu det på hodet, dette tyder på at russiske luftfartsmyndigheter er villige til å gjøre de (upopulære) grep som trengs og at de tar sikkerheten på alvor. Det er faktisk noe man skal kunne forvente riktignok, men det er ikke alltid slik ting fungerer i f.eks. Russland.
 
Var inne i en IL86 på Gardermoen for 5 år siden vel...

En IMPONERENDE maskin dette...virkelig.......åsså så SVÆR a gitt
