Icelandair til Belfast JUN17

Ser ut som Icelandair stepper inn når United snart legger ned sin EWR-BHD rute. Fra 1 juni 2017 vil de fly 3x ukentlig hele året, og ruten vil bli fløyet av Air Iceland og deres Q400.

I motsetning til United som fløy til Belfast International (litt utpå bygda) vil Icelandair fly til Belfast City

Icelandair today announced Belfast (BHD) as a new destination starting June 1. 2017. Belfast will become Icelandair‘s 44th scheduled destination with a full year round service three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays operated by sister airline Air Iceland. The flight from Belfast to Reykjavik will provide easy connections with Icelandair’s wide network of destinations in the US and Canada.

EDIT: Og 65km lenger enn deres eksisterende KEF-ABZ rute

Ruten til Ilulissat på Grønland er vel ca like lang, om ikke bittelitt lengre.

Air Iceland last Friday announced planned route addition to the UK, as it begins Reykjavik Keflavik – Belfast City service on 01JUN17. The airline will operate Dash8-Q400 aircraft 3 times a week, and Icelandair will place its FI code on this new route.
