I've got a rather pleasant dilemma at the moment, and that is whether I should go back to Eurobonus or not.
In the beginning of 2009, i switched from Eurobonus to Diamond Club due to several reasons, such as better earnings, possibility to take out one-way fares.....and most important - only realistic (at that time) method of become Star Gold. I'm appoarching BD*G and will reach this level in July by flying SIN-SYD-SIN with SQ
But then is the question: What's next?
Most people predicts that DC will be fully implemented in Miles&More (has already happened with member in the Netherlands, Ukraine and Israel.) and I therefor will get a status match and become Senator (*G). However, there is no way with my job and income I'm able to reach 100.000 points annually and maintain this status over time, and therefor after a while will become M&M *S/Frequent Traveler
However, in addtion to my SIN-SYD-SIN flight this summer, I'm also flying FRA-MUC-HKG-FRA in LH business class, and HKG-SIN-HKG in a 100% earning class with SQ. Which should give me 26589 basic points.....i.e 59% of the points needed to reach EB*G. In addition I've also 5 low economy 25% intra-EU trip coming up this summer, and most likely will attend SMDII with at least one TATL-crossing in biz. I.e. I should have no problems reaching EB*G when my qualifying period ends in May 2011.
So the question I'm asking myself is therefor: Should I stay with DC and most likely be transfered to M&M sooner or later and eventually become a M&M Frequent Traveller, or should I return to Eurbonus and go for Gold there?
