"lækkert" sounds a little bit like the German word "lecker" [tasty]... so I was just wondering .

One question, plan to take a trip to berlin before Tegel is closing, and visit the nice observation deck and maybe some other location.
What time of the year would you recommend to take a trip?

What time of the year would you recommend to take a trip?

Well, first of all you should plan your trip in the summer season between April and October, so you can enjoy 12 hours of spotting (opening hours of the deck: 8am - 8pm) instead of 6 hours (10am - 4pm) in the winter season .

To be more precise: April and the first two weeks of May and as well October (especially the last two weeks for night spotting) should be fine. It´s not to hot, therefore heat haze shouldn´t be a problem . The period between June and August is critical, because of the mentioned problem. Heat haze gets visible at around 11am (for runway shots, for gate shots no problem at all).
