This week, Ambassador Solbakken met with the General Director of Vietnam Airlines Le Hong Ha. She was joined by representatives from Avinor, a wholly-owned state limited company under the Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communications, which is responsible for 43 state-owned airports in Norway.
Among their discussion topics, the host and the guest touched upon the possibility of introduction of direct flights between the two countries, in respect of which Vietnam Airlines Director General promised to continue monitoring and studies for appropriate planning.
The two sides agreed that the direct flights would help increase travels between the two countries, hence promoting tourism, bilateral trades, and bring other economic benefits.
