Moskovia Airlines (3R, Moscow Zhukovsky) interim management have filed for bankruptcy with a Moscow court 8 months after a previous motion filed by the Finance Leasing Company was dismissed. Russian news portal AEX.ru says the FLC has repeatedly tried to have Moskovia declare bankruptcy over debts amounting to RUB94.2million (USD2.71million). Established in 1995, Moskovia Airlines is based at Moscow Domodedovo and provides regular and charter passenger and cargo flights throughout Russia, as well as to other countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa, using a fleet consisting of a B737-400, a B737-700 and two SSJ 100-95s. It is currently still operating.

Da tyder det på at Freddy Mercury har flyttet inn på kontoret hos Moskovia for godt...
Moskovia Airlines (3R, Moscow Zhukovsky) is set to have its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) suspended by the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) with effect from August 29 ending weeks of speculation about the airline's future.

Rosaviatsia said in a statement that the decision to revoke Moskovia's AOC came after airline managing director, Mikhail Alekseyev, informed the regulator of its inability to sustain any further operations due to its financial problems.

A surprise audit of the airline's finances in July led the regulator to order it to suspend the sales of tickets for regular flights with effect from July 29.

With roughly 500 paid customers currently in the Montenegrin resort town of Tivat, Moskovia has now outsourced its last remaining return flights to Kolavia (7K, Kogalym).

Moskovia's fleet currently includes a B737-700, three SSJ 100-95s, and three An-12s.
